For this project, I was tasked with developing a comprehensive branding and identity package for an event or organization. The goal was to create a cohesive set of brand elements and promotional materials that effectively communicate the brand's unique value proposition (UVP) and identity. One of the most important proficiencies to obtain as a designer is deploying meaningful design elements using formal and conceptual strategy throughout different elements of a large campaign. How do you keep things exciting for the viewer without making the visual connections unrecognizable?
I chose to develop the branding for a wellness retreat focused on health, relaxation, and rejuvenation, named Sunbathe Spa + Sauna. For this retreat, I utilized calming colors and imagery that evoke tranquility and well-being.
Mental health is particularly important to me because I am medicated for mental health issues and know firsthand how challenging they can be to deal with at times. This personal experience drives my passion for creating spaces and experiences that promote mental well-being and relaxation.
The logo for Sunbathe Spa + Sauna was inspired by my ESA cat, Aspen. She always looks very peaceful while sleeping in her bed in the window, which inspired me to create a circular logo with sunbeams and a cat. This logo captures the essence of calm and serenity, perfectly aligning with the retreat's focus on holistic wellness. My aim was to create a serene and inviting brand experience that resonates with the target audience, ensuring that every design element aligns with the retreat's focus on holistic wellness. This project showcases my ability to maintain visual coherence while keeping the design fresh and engaging for the viewer.
